For 40 years, Aikido Shin Do Kan Dojo has been more than a place to train. Generations of students have learned here. They challenged themselves, built lifelong friendships, and practiced the principles of Aikido together.
The Aikido Shin Do Kan 40th Anniversary falls on Saturday, April 17, 2027. It honors four decades of practice, friendship, discipline and growth. Everyone is invited: current students, former students, instructors, families and friends.

Three hours on the mat, 12:00 to 3:00 PM at Shin Do Kan Dojo in Newport Beach. Gentil Pennewaert Shihan leads. All levels are welcome.

Celebration Dinner
A reception from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the Ayres Hotel Costa Mesa. Dinner follows from 7:00 to 10:00 PM, with an entrée you choose in advance.

The Aikido Shin Do Kan
40th Anniversary Seminar
The Aikido Shin Do Kan 40th Anniversary Seminar runs from 12:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 17, 2027. It takes place at Shin Do Kan Dojo, 2018 Quail Street, Newport Beach, California.
Three generations of students will share the mat. You will practice Aikido, reconnect with old friends, and honor the history of the dojo. Newer students are just as welcome as students of forty years.

Shihan Pennewaert is Dojocho of Newport Beach Aikikai, Shin Do Kan Dojo. He has taught traditional Aikido in Orange County, California for four decades.

The reception runs from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Arrive, reconnect with old friends, and meet the next generation of Shin Do Kan students.

A plated dinner follows at 7:00 PM. You choose your entrée when you register. The anniversary program runs alongside the meal.

The evening closes at 10:00 PM. Dinner is $120 per guest. Reserve your seats through the registration form.
