Learning to control your breathing
The preparation before practicing aikido is just as important if not more than practicing aikido itself. You must prepare the mind and body to be relaxed, grounded and present. Only then, can you feel and blend with your partner.
Follow these videos as a guide to control your flow of energy through your body so you can better connect with your partner, the universe, and to yourself.
Breathing is regenerative and restorative. It can cleanse us of toxins that build up in the body and the mind. When you exhale, take it slowly so that the body can receive the signal to the brain to turn on your parasympathetic nervous system and turn down your sympathetic nervous system.
